Cosmetic dentistry treated as a discipline of its own

Established in 2004 and expanded from 2008 by senior partner Dr Adam Thorne, this private Harley Street practice built its name on aesthetic work. Porcelain restorations are planned digitally, then finished by a master ceramist, so shade and shape are settled before anything is bonded. The rooms are deliberately non-clinical, and specialist referrals stay in house.

Treatments

Composite bonding, veneers, crowns, bridges and makeovers planned with Digital Smile Design, plus gum grafting and rehabilitation of worn teeth. General care covers hygiene, root canal treatment, invisible fillings and children’s dentistry. Orthodontics is unusually broad: Invisalign, Simpli5, the Inman Aligner, Damon and Six Month Smiles brackets, Cfast, In-Ovation C and two lingual systems worn behind the teeth. Implants run to All-on-Four, denture stabilisation and zygomatic implants anchored in the cheekbone when the upper jaw lacks bone.

Technology

Intraoral scanning replaces impression putty, and iTero Element simulates the aligner result beside the present bite. CEREC mills ceramic crowns, inlays and onlays chairside, and 3D planning software and printers carry the design to the mouth. The Aquacut Quattro lifts decay with powder and fluid instead of a drill; VELscope fluorescence screens soft tissue for early signs of oral cancer. Sedation runs from inhalation to intravenous with a visiting anaesthetist.

The clinicians

Dr Adam Thorne is a full member of the British and American Academies of Cosmetic Dentistry and trained at the Pankey Institute. Dr David Bloom is a past BACD president and sits on the editorial board of the International Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr Crystal Marruganti holds a PhD in periodontology from Siena and is the first dentist named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list. Dr Anna Andrysiewicz holds a diploma in prosthodontics, Dr Natasha Panesar studied implant dentistry at the Eastman, and every clinician is GDC-registered.

Anyone rebuilding worn or failed front teeth. Adults who want braces nobody can see. Patients told elsewhere that the upper jaw will not hold implants.
